Happy Anniversary

Fourty-three years of God’s faithfulness were celebrated yesterday here at Faith Baptist Church.  A sweet spirit, beautiful music, and Christ honoring preaching were all apparent as the day progressed.  Four folks were saved and two families joined the church.  The time of fellowship and dinner at 5:30 combined to encourage and prepare hearts for the evening service.  Five of our ladies were honored in the service (two of them charter members) and several testimonies were shared before the video presentation documenting God’s faithfulness over these past 43 years.  May God continue to bless and allow us another 43 years to serve Him.

Moving Mountains In Florida

This Sunday we are praying for a Mountain Moving offering on our 43rd anniversary.  We are asking for God to supply $43,000 for a bill we need to get paid off.  That’s $1,000 per year of ministry.  We are praying for this to happen by October 31, 2009.  Will you be praying with us for this need that only God can meet.  “Expect great things from God. — Attempt great things for God.”  (William Carey)  God can move the mountain.     –   Pastor

Thanks for the Work Day

Several of our staff and a couple of our members showed up today to help with a church-wide work day.  Painting, cleaning, landscaping, and some minor remodeling were done as we invest our time to “spruce up” the facilities and make them look their very best.  Thank all of you who gave your time and energy.  — Pastor

What A Great Day

Friend Day is upon us.  Truly we have seen God’s promise fulfilled, “Call unto me and I will answer thee and shew thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not. ” This morning we had 65 first time or returning visitors for our Friend Day.  We have prayed and labored for so long and now we have seen God work.  William Carey said it this way, “Expect great things from God.  Attempt great things for God.” One young man was saved in the main service and several others were saved in our junior churches and other ministries this week.  Pray with us for this evening’s service as we preach on the Labor of the Local Church and encourage our folks to prepare for Family Day next Sunday.
